Our Aftercare

Gas Fire Servicing & Repairs

Here at the fireplace studio, we understand that customer service doesn’t stop after you’ve purchased your gas fire – to keep your fire in top condition, we have our very own in-house team dedicated to the task. We specialise in servicing for all types of gas fires, and recommend that you have this done annually to keep your fire in a fully functional state.

Gas Fire Servicing

Having an annual regular service carried out on your gas fire will ensure that it remains up to date with all the relevant safety standards and does not fall into disrepair, saving you time and money in the long term. By making sure the balanced flue is all in order and the ventilation is working to optimal levels it greatly reduces unnecessary energy wastage. This also extends the lifespan of the fire as a whole – preventing the owner from purchasing another one before they actually need to.

Our in-house gas fire servicing team are fully registered expert gas engineers and are available for 12 months of annual gas fire servicing as well as repairs/safety checks to your existing appliances.

Gas Fire Service and Repairs

A broken gas appliance can have life-threatening consequences, so if you suspect that your property is suffering from a faulty gas fire or you’ve noticed that your gas fire is not working properly, you must contact a Gas Safe registered engineer immediately.

At the fireplace studio, our fully qualified and registered gas safe engineers can quickly identify any issue with your gas fire and carry out the necessary remedial action to ensure it’s back operating safely again in next to no time (including giving a quote to having them serviced annually).

The signs that your fire needs servicing include:

  • Difficulty lighting it
  • Smoke particles in the air when you use it, which means something’s not right with the burner. If the fragments contain black soot, you need to get a new burner fitted; white particles usually mean there’s a build up of dirt inside which will need to be cleaned out.
  • Flickering flames, which could indicate a faulty valve or a lack of sealant on the firebox opening.
  • The smell of gas in your home when you use it, which can be the result of a number of factors, including an incorrectly installed gas supply, carbon monoxide leaks from your flue or a blocked chimney.

If you have any questions regarding gas fire servicing or repairs, or you would like to arrange an appointment for a no-obligation quotation, you can contact our in-house team who will be happy to deal with your enquiry.
